World Cup 2010 – Fifty Up!

SilentManager, the fantasy and predictor game provider have just launched their 50th World Cup game for this summers tournament.

The Brighton based company who turned 8 years old in April were started off after three friends received an enquiry about running a fantasy game based on the 2002 World Cup from a game player of their ‘hobby website’. Eight years later SilentManager have grown into a business with 2 offices and a team of over 20 staff.

“I never would have guessed we would be running over 50 different games on the World Cup for clients all over the world”, explains Jon Trigg, the Managing Director and one of the original three friends. “We’ve got clients in all four corners of the globe for this World Cup, with games in Brazil, Thailand, Spain, Australia, Sweden, Holland, Chile and Russia to name just a few countries our games will be in”, Trigg goes onto explain.

SilentManager will be running over 65 games once all World Cup games are launched in 9 different languages, a far cry from their first year where they had 5 World Cup games and 12 games in total over their first 12 months.

“We’re aiming to have an office set up in the States by the next World Cup” elaborates Trigg, “So by the time England hopefully host the World Cup in 2018 we’ll be looking to break the 150 game barrier!” he concludes.
