SilentManager to launch the new look “Super Selector” fantasy cricket game for ESPN Star India.

Since its launch in the late 1990’s, Super Selector has risen to the position of market leader as one of the World’s most played fantasy cricket game. In a development to modernise the game format with the changes in how cricket is followed on the sub continent SilentManager have have been appointed to to develop new game features which include interactive social networking and mobile phone functionalities.

The game is based on all three popular forms of cricket played in the ICC calendar – Test, Twenty20 and One Day International. Super Selector users are encouraged to manage one of each of these teams. As matches are played in real life, users build up fantasy points and their team totals are added together to give them a points total and rank in the overall leaderboard.

The multi-team format takes the concept of fantasy cricket games to the next level, increasing the engagement of the user by ensuring almost continual game play over the three formats of the game of the whole year.

SilentManager have extended the Super Selector product platform by offering the user the chance to access the game via multiple media such as accessing the team on their mobile phone using WAP; receive personalised SMS messages; integrate with their social networking profile on Facebook, Friendster and Orkut; and receive desktop alerts via a personalised desktop widget. Users are also encouraged to use the forum attached to the game which builds on the community aspect inherent to fantasy sports games.

The Super Selector game will start scoring from the Champions Trophy on 22nd September 2009, and will cover selected Test, One Day International and Twenty20 matches from the ICC 2009-2010 fixture calendar.
